Dr Josh Osowicki

Dr Josh Osowicki is a Paediatric Infectious Diseases physician at RCH and a post-doctoral research fellow at MCRI. Josh has a growing profile in the international Streptococcus pyogenes (‘Strep A’) and human challenge research communities, following on from his PhD work to establish the world’s only Strep A pharyngitis human challenge model to accelerate vaccine development. Josh works with the RCH PICU team to lead regular antibiotic rounds for the hospital’s sickest patients and has also contributed to guideline development with Therapeutic Guidelines and Rheumatic Heart Disease Australia.
